About the PDF to JPG

A PDF to JPG converter renders each page of a PDF as a JPG image, useful for sharing a page on social media, pasting it into a document or viewing it where PDFs aren't supported. Choose a resolution of 72, 150 or 300 DPI, then convert: a single-page PDF downloads as one JPG, and a multi-page PDF downloads as a ZIP of numbered images. Everything runs on your device, so the PDF is never uploaded.

How to use the PDF to JPG

  1. Choose the PDF you want to convert.
  2. Pick an image quality: 72 DPI for screens, 150 for general use, or 300 DPI for printing.
  3. Click Convert.
  4. Download the JPG, or the ZIP file if the PDF has more than one page.

Which DPI should I choose?

72 DPI matches a typical screen and gives the smallest file, good for quick previews or web use. 150 DPI is a good general-purpose choice for sharing or pasting into documents. 300 DPI produces a sharper, larger image suited to printing or zooming in on fine text.

PDF to JPG vs PDF to PNG

JPG uses lossy compression, which makes smaller files and suits scanned pages or photos. PNG is lossless and better for pages with sharp text, tables or line art, at the cost of a larger file. Use PDF to PNG when image quality matters more than file size.

Frequently asked questions

Can I convert every page of a PDF to JPG at once?

Yes. Converting renders every page; if there is more than one page, the images are bundled into a single ZIP file for download.

What DPI should I use for printing?

300 DPI gives a sharp result for printing. 150 DPI is enough for most screens, and 72 DPI is the smallest file, best for quick previews.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. Pages are rendered to images entirely in your browser with JavaScript, and the file is never sent anywhere.

Can I convert just one page instead of the whole PDF?

This tool converts every page. To get a single page, use Split PDF's "Extract pages" mode first, then convert the resulting one-page PDF here.
