About the PDF to Word
A PDF to Word converter turns a PDF's text into an editable .docx file you can open in Microsoft Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice. This tool reads the text inside your PDF and rebuilds it as paragraphs and headings so you can edit the wording without retyping it. The PDF is read entirely in your browser and is never uploaded to a server.

What gets converted, and what does not
A PDF has no real paragraph, table or heading structure - only text positioned on a page. This tool rebuilds paragraphs and headings from that text, which works well for simple documents such as letters, reports and articles. Tables, multi-column layouts, text boxes, images and exact fonts or spacing are not preserved, so the result is a readable, editable document rather than a pixel-perfect copy.
Why can a scanned PDF not be converted?
A scanned PDF is really just a photograph of a page, with no selectable text underneath for the browser to read. Converting it needs OCR (optical character recognition) to recognise the letters first, which this tool does not perform; if your PDF reader lets you select and copy the text, it should convert normally.
Frequently asked questions
Will the formatting look exactly like the original PDF?
Not exactly. Text, basic headings and line breaks come across, but tables, columns, images and exact fonts or spacing are not preserved. It is meant to give you editable text, not a pixel-perfect copy.
Can I convert a scanned PDF?
Only if it already has selectable text. A scanned page with no text layer has nothing for this tool to extract, since it does not perform OCR.
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The whole conversion runs in your browser using JavaScript, and the file never leaves your device.
What file do I get?
A standard .docx file that opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice Writer and most other word processors.
