About the Excel to PDF
An Excel to PDF converter turns a spreadsheet into a fixed document that opens the same on any device, without needing Excel installed. This tool reads your .xlsx, .xls or .csv file and draws each sheet as a bordered table, splitting it across as many pages as it needs, with the header row repeated on every page. The file is read entirely in your browser and never uploaded.
How to use the Excel to PDF
- Choose or drop your Excel (.xlsx, .xls) or CSV file.
- Pick a page size and orientation (portrait or landscape).
- Click Convert to PDF and download the result.

- Every sheet becomes its own table, with the header row repeated on each page
- Portrait or landscape, A4 or Letter
- Columns are sized to fit the content automatically

What a wide spreadsheet looks like in the PDF
Columns are sized to fit their content and shrunk to fit the page width where possible. If a sheet still has too many columns to fit, text that cannot fit its column is shortened with an ellipsis ("…") rather than overlapping the next column. Switching to landscape orientation usually gives wide spreadsheets more room.
What does not carry over
This tool focuses on getting the data onto the page clearly: cell background colours, custom fonts, formulas (the last calculated value is used instead), charts and merged cells are not preserved.
Frequently asked questions
Can I convert a CSV file too?
Yes. CSV files work the same way as .xlsx and .xls - choose the file and it becomes a single-sheet PDF table.
What happens to a spreadsheet with lots of columns?
Column widths shrink to fit the page, and switching to landscape orientation gives wide tables more room. Text that still does not fit its column is shortened with "…".
Are formulas or charts kept?
Formulas show their last calculated value as text, not the formula itself, and charts are not included in the PDF.
Is my spreadsheet uploaded anywhere?
No. The whole conversion runs in your browser using JavaScript, and the file never leaves your device.
